• Ensure effective communication, co-ordination and interface management within the team and with functional managers.

• Set the working rhythm of the project: meetings, decision-making, document control and escalation.

• Act as the owner’s representative towards contractors, suppliers, the owner’s engineer team and local stakeholders.
  

Deliver the project on cost, revenue, schedule and performance

• Define the project scope and requirements at the outset; control scope and requirement creep during execution through a structured change management process.

• Build and own the integrated RtB-to-COD schedule; track progress against plan and implement recovery or acceleration measures when required. Define and actively manage schedule contingency.

• Define and own the project budget (Devex, Capex and Opex); track commitments and spend against budget. Define and actively manage cost contingency.

• Ensure an adequate offtake agreement is signed in due time, in cooperation with the offtake specialist.

• Keep the project IRR simulation up to date and compare it against the Investment Committee case; flag deviations early.

• Prepare and defend project submissions at stage gates and Investment Committee decision points.
  

Manage project risks and opportunities

• Maintain an up-to-date risk and opportunity register and drive the implementation of mitigation measures.

• Quantify project risk exposure and translate it into cost and schedule contingencies (quantitative risk assessment).

• Ensure sound contract management towards suppliers and contractors, including claims and dispute resolution, with support from Legal.

• Enforce supplier and contractor warranty obligations through to handover to Asset Management.

• Ensure HSE requirements and quality standards are set, contracted for and enforced on site.
  

Report to Management and lenders

• Report monthly on project status – progress, cost, risk, forecast and outlook – to Tavion Management.

• Act as the single point of contact for project-related matters for Tavion Management and lenders, including reporting obligations, drawdown support and lender/technical adviser queries.

• Initiate the discussions needed to extend or clarify your mandate when the project requires decisions beyond it.

• Contribute to Tavion’s project delivery capability through lessons learned, improved processes, tools and templates.

Requirements

Experience

• At least 10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in a project management or project delivery leadership role on capital projects.

• Proven end-to-end delivery of energy infrastructure or comparable capital projects – BESS, renewables (solar or wind), grid and high-voltage works, or complex infrastructure in real estate, oil & gas or industry.

• Demonstrated ownership of cost, schedule and scope on projects in the tens of millions of euros, taken from investment decision through construction to operation.

• Experience of the construction phase, including contractor and subcontractor supervision, commissioning, testing and handover.

• Experience negotiating and managing EPC, BOP and equipment supply contracts, and handling variations, claims and warranties.

• Familiarity with grid connection processes and interaction with the DSO/TSO; experience of the Polish grid environment is a strong advantage.

• Experience working with investment, finance and lender stakeholders – project finance conditions, drawdowns, technical advisers and reporting.

• BESS-specific experience is an advantage; a strong track record in adjacent technologies with a demonstrated ability to learn a new technology quickly is equally welcome.

• University degree in engineering, construction management, business or a comparable field.
